race rocks
this weekend, we're at race rocks. it is beautiful. the elephant seals are a bit angry but they're still happy in the sun that's peeking out from behind the clouds. we sat in the lighthouse and laughed. i still have to pinch myself that this is real! this is all real. the end of the year is coming, and it is so sobering to remind myself that one year ago, i did not even know that i'd be at pearson. with so little time left, i'm not going to waste a single bit worrying or feeling upset. it's time to live with as little regret as possible.

hi Theo!! my names Asia and im from the uk/italy. i just wanted to say that i'll be attending pearson next year (2018-2020),, so i'll be one of your 1st years!! i just received college confirmation today and i can't wait!! i've been reading ur blog ever since i started the application process so it'll be great to actually meet u in real life.
ReplyDeletehello asia! its nice to hear from you :) im so excited for you to experience this place. I hope my blog has been fun to read, though I know its not very well written. I spent so much of my pre-pearson time reading blogs, they really enthralled me. i'm sure we'll have something to talk about when you get here -- but until then, I think it's best if I don't influence your view or expectations of the college, so i'll wait about social media and whatnot till i've met you in person! the best advice anyone ever gave me about Pearson was to have 'no expectations'. At the time, hearing this pissed me off a little bit. How could I go in completely blank? what good would it do to know little about the place? I think coming here helped me realize that everything is just a bit more exciting, unique, fresh, when your hearing it for the very first time. If you can try to keep that spirit, I'm sure you'll thank yourself later. Also, with no expectations, you can never be disappointed! enjoy the rest of your summer (you're probably still in school?) and I'll see you in august!
